Due to the game being her first playable appearence in a Mario platformer and being one of the best characters in the game due to her double jump. It doesn't help that they usually come in groups that makes maneuvering past them difficult. They throw spike balls that cannot be vaulted, they'll injure you if you try to vault over them while they're holding a spike ball, and they throw spike balls in an arc, meaning even if you try to jump over them, you can still get hit. Spikes are one of the most dangerous enemies around.This is especially important in Toad Rally, where you need to collect the coins they throw to do well, especially during Coin Rush, but getting killed by their wrenches can put you at a disadvantage, or even cost you the match. Like Ninjis, this can lead to situations where you're trying to vault over them, only to suddenly get hit by their wrench. Rocky Wrenches can easily throw you off because they randomly throw either coins or wrenches.They also have a tendency to appear in places where jumping over the Ninji will lead to a different hazard. This can often lead to situations where a player is trying to vault over a Ninji, only for the Ninji to jump at the last second, causing the player to get hit. However, if a Ninji is in the middle of a jump, Mario will still get damaged. Normally, when Mario runs into an enemy, he'll automatically vault over them harmlessly. Ninjis, thanks to their constant jumping.(Granted, though, reportedly most of the one-star reviews are just complaints about the aformentioned $10 price tag for the full game.) Critical Dissonance: While the game has been getting positive reviews by critics, one look at the App Store ratings seems to suggest a more mixed reception by audiences.That said, this is offset by the fact that she's a playable character who is just as capable as fighting Bowser as the others. Badass Decay: Daisy goes from being able to fend off Bowser by a single Armor-Piercing Slap in Mario Party 3 to getting kidnapped by him in this game, becoming a Damsel in Distress again for the first time since her debut.The Remix 10 version of the Super Star theme takes remixes Up to Eleven.The Remix 10 theme, which includes a segment from the Super Mario Land underground theme and vocals from Daisy.U, both the ground and underground themes have been rearranged completely for this game and they sound quite catchy. While most of the tracks are reused directly from New Super Mario Bros.
Author's Saving Throw: Daisy is finally made into a playable character in a Mario platformer, much to the delight of her fans, who have been clamouring for her to be playable outside of the sports/kart/party titles for years.
